Overview
The 279174 is the pink diamond configuration in the Datejust 28 — the 28mm being the smaller bracket of the current Datejust range, beneath the 31mm. The pairing is warm against cool: pink dial, white gold bezel, white gold Jubilee links. The ten diamond markers read differently on a pink ground than they do on grey or silver — the warmth of the dial softens the diamonds' cold-light quality and integrates them into the overall colour story rather than contrasting against it.
The case is 28mm Oystersteel with a fluted 18-carat white gold bezel. The pink dial carries ten brilliant-cut diamond hour markers, factory-set by Rolex — not an aftermarket modification. The Jubilee bracelet is the five-link construction; on the White Rolesor configuration, the centre links are 18-carat white gold, extending the two-material detail from bezel into bracelet. Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock; date complication.
The Calibre 2232 powers the Datejust 28 — Rolex's ladies' movement, running a Syloxi silicon hairspring and delivering a 55-hour power reserve. Certified Superlative Chronometer to ±2 seconds per day. Water resistance is 100 metres.
Within the Datejust diamond dial range, the pink 279174 at 28mm occupies the most clearly defined position — the colour and case size together narrow the buyer profile relative to grey or neutral alternatives, but they also make the watch's intent unambiguous.
