The Story
Overview
The Wimbledon dial's green-on-slate palette is built on cool tones — slate grey ground, Roman numerals outlined in green. The 126331 pairs it with Everose gold: a fluted rose gold bezel, a Jubilee bracelet with alternating steel and Everose links. That contrast — warm metal against a cool dial — produces a visual composition neither the white gold 126334 nor the all-steel 126300 Wimbledon configurations can replicate.
The case is 41mm Oystersteel with an 18-carat Everose gold fluted bezel. The Wimbledon dial carries slate grey as the base, with Roman numerals individually outlined in green; against the rose gold bezel and hands, the green reads warmer than it does set against white gold or steel. The Jubilee bracelet alternates steel and Everose gold links in the five-link construction that has been paired with the dressed Datejust since 1945. Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock; date function.
The Calibre 3235 is Rolex's current-generation automatic — 70-hour power reserve, Chronergy escapement, Parachrom hairspring, certified as a Superlative Chronometer to ±2 seconds per day. Water resistance is 100 metres. The specification is consistent across the current 41mm Datejust range.
Within the 126331 range, the Wimbledon dial is the most visually specific configuration — the colour story is intentional enough to make a clear commitment, which narrows the buyer relative to the silver or white dials in the same Everose Rolesor construction. Against the white gold 126334 Wimbledon, the 126331 is the warmer and slightly less formal interpretation: Everose reads differently from white gold on the wrist, and against the Wimbledon's slate, it reads distinctly. We see the 126331 Wimbledon as the correct Datejust 41 for a buyer who wants the full dressed specification — Rolesor construction, fluted bezel, Jubilee bracelet — with a dial that makes a clear colour argument rather than a neutral one. Brand new, unworn, complete with box and papers dated April 2026, at RM77,000.
