Overview 

The Pelagos line has always been Tudor's technically-focused dive watch, distinct from the heritage-oriented Black Bay. The 25407N brought it to 39mm for the first time, and the industry responded: the Pelagos 39 won the GPHG 2023 Sports Watch Prize, external validation from watchmaking's most recognised awards body. At 39mm in titanium with a manufacture movement, it addresses the buyer who wants a serious dive specification without the mass of a 42mm steel watch on the wrist.

The case is titanium, 39mm; at this size and material, the watch wears noticeably lighter than steel competitors at comparable dimensions. The dial is black with a sunray satin finish; the unidirectional rotating bezel carries a black ceramic insert. The all-black palette is a deliberate choice toward the functional end of the dial spectrum, where legibility is the standard and colour accent is absent; water resistance is 200 metres.

The movement is Calibre MT5400, Tudor's manufacture automatic, COSC certified to within ±4 seconds per day with a 70-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring for magnetic resistance. The watch ships with the titanium bracelet fitted with the T-fit clasp for 8mm of tool-free micro-adjustment.

Titanium manufacture dive watches at this case size and price tier are rare; the Pelagos 39 has no direct structural competitor in the secondary market at RM13,500. Against an RRP of RM22,050, this represents 39% below new pricing for a November 2023 piece in excellent condition with complete documentation. We are currently seeing Pelagos 39 examples trade in this range; the GPHG recognition has maintained collector interest, and complete-set examples hold their value well relative to standard secondary discounting on Tudor references.
